Truly XD is a user-centred UX studio for UX strategy and inclusive design, based in Mannheim, working with value-driven organisations and private and public institutions.

Maturity-minded experience design means that scope, pace and complexity follow a team’s actual UX maturity, so the result is something the team can build, maintain and own. My design solutions and UX strategies are accessible, respectful and responsible. That’s how good intentions become digital inclusion that actually lasts. Design that keeps its promise.

Er richtet sich nach Deiner tatsächlichen UX-Reife und der Deines Teams, nicht nach einer Idealvorstellung davon. Konkret heißt das: Du startest in der Regel mit einem UX Maturity Snapshot. Behind Truly XD: Jennifer Moss

I'm an experience designer and UX strategist with a soft spot for inclusion, good storytelling and realistic excellence.

In 2011, I co-founded BIRD UX Studio, one of the first women-led, user-centred design studios in Germany. Over 15 years, my colleague and I worked on numerous projects with clients including taz, die tageszeitung, Mozilla, Freudenberg Sealing Solutions, Schindler, Crytek and Movie Park Germany, as well as various universities and institutions.

From 2018 to 2024, I co-founded and ran communications for the sportswear brand AUAU Athletics® / STEAKS® Contact Wear. Entrepreneurship taught me what no design brief ever could: what it’s like when it’s your money on the line.

My passion for inclusion goes well beyond my work on digital products:

I passed on what I know as a member of the content committee and as a teacher on the UX/UI bootcamp at the ReDi School of Digital Integration.
I co-founded the Mannheim Women's Alliance (Mannheimer Frauenbündnis) and I'm still active there.
I contributed to the City of Mannheim's Gender Equality Action Plan.
I co-founded the roller derby club Rhein-Neckar Delta Quads and led it as a chair and coach for nearly 10 years, where I learned that stakeholder management works much the same on skates.

If you want an impressive portfolio piece and no awkward questions about who’ll maintain it, or whether your audience even needs it – I’m not your studio. Plenty of others will happily oblige.
